Bill is coming. The end is not ready.
TO SUNRISE
Bill Easy has spent his life preparing to make contact. Most people wish he would stop.
A disgraced astrobiologist and former government psychic, Bill has exiled himself to Key West, where he interrogates dogs for cash and teaches forbidden mind science in an abandoned butterfly museum.
His research into extraterrestrial intimacy has cost him his career, his credibility, and most reasonable human relationships. Still, Bill remains convinced we are not alone, and that the strange signals rising from the ocean mean something terrible is approaching.

Then Maude arrives.

She has read everything Bill has ever written. She also happens to be an alien.
Her species is dying. Earth is scheduled for annihilation. And Bill’s most ridiculed theories may offer both worlds a future.
There is one extraordinary condition:
He has to seduce and fuck her before sunrise.
The encounter will almost certainly kill him.
Before Bill can assemble his equipment, prepare himself psychologically, or adequately consider the arrangement, Maude disappears.

His frantic search for her draws him into the grasp of the Office of Oceanic Irregularities, a covert government agency operating behind Key West’s tourist façades. They interrogate him. They attempt to wipe his mind.
Then they let him go.
Bill emerges barefoot, shaken, missing pieces of the night, and increasingly uncertain whether anything he remembers actually happened.
Desperate, he recruits Fraiser Strain, a brilliant alcoholic writer who believes the world ended years ago and nobody noticed.

Together, they plunge into a tropical night of secret societies, impossible rooms, psychic surveillance, government weirdos, misplaced tourists, coded transmissions, contradictory memories, and people who remain suspiciously calm as the island begins to come apart around them.
Every breakthrough brings Bill closer to Maude.Getting closer makes her harder to understand.
As sunrise approaches, the man who has spent his entire life theorizing about first contact must confront the terrifying possibility of actually making it.

THERE IS NO THREAT is a hallucinatory science-fiction comedy motion picture and an about what happens when reality stops behaving like evidence, and the possibility that the truth can be standing directly in front of you and still look exactly like madness.
In the end, Bill Easy will either save the world, end it, discover he’s insane, or finally prove he was right.
The problem is, by then, no one may be able to tell the difference.
